Having graduated from Exeter University with 2:1 in Biology, John moved straight into construction recruitment focusing on Quantity Surveying and Project Management roles within the main contractor environment. After 5 years he moved to London to grow his experience in search and selection joining Cobalt Recruitment as a Senior Consultant. Over his ten years at the business he rose to Director and Head of Development and Construction executing the senior search mandates within the Project and Development Management and Surveying space whilst helping to run the UK internal business in a strategic capacity. In 2020 John made the decision to form a partnership with Lucy Cook as start Falmouth Fairfax.
He has 17 years experience and a passion for working closely with candidates and clients to help them achieve their career and business goals. With a core interest in development he focusing mainly on mid to senior level appointments and has an extensive contact network working with a range of leading REITS, property companies, family offices, global development business, Investors, lenders and an array of smaller niche practices.
Outside of work John occasionally pretends that he can still play rugby but mainly focuses on skiing, taking part in charity running and triathlon races and periodically escaping with the family to Cornwall.
