About Us

Falmouth Fairfax was founded to be different from every other property recruiter

We believe that clients should never have to compromise on the quality of service they receive to find the right candidate. This is why we created a Director led real estate recruitment service, based on knowledge, honesty and experience for every client and candidate.

Our founders, John Clarkson and Lucy Cook met whilst both working for a global recruitment company specialising in Real Estate. Having progressed to a Director level in their previous roles, John and Lucy found themselves pulled more and more towards high level management and away from the recruitment role and clients they loved. They decided to combine their over 30 years of experience to address the issues they saw in the recruitment market and build a company focused on a high quality, advisory level service. John is a specialist in Property Development while Lucy focuses on Real Estate.

We will achieve this by adding value at every point through experience backed advice and ensuring every search is led by a minimum of 10 years' experience.

Our hope is to offer a service that is fully tailored to our client’s needs, as we understand how critical the right appointment can be to the success of a business. With over 30 years of relevant experience between John and Lucy and a track record in both types of recruitment, we are able to offer a unique service option of both contingency recruitment and full search services, or a blend of the two as clients often prefer.

In addition, we also offer a range of other services to both clients and candidates including: strategic advice on company growth or career development, remuneration and market commentary, benchmarking, role profiling and CV advice.

In their previous roles, the Falmouth Fairfax Directors have been fortunate enough to have worked with a broad range of clients on a long term basis helping them build teams and companies through trust and results-based partnerships. This is a business model that Falmouth Fairfax aims to continue. The better we know our clients, their company culture, the people in the organisation and the way they like to work, the more successful and efficient recruitment processes become. We will always work and conduct ourselves with long term relationships rather than short term gains in mind.​

In order to provide a truly professional and efficient service to both our clients and candidates, we ensure that a focused service is consistently provided by only working on a handful of roles per Director at any one time. This ensures that we are never stretched or distracted from any client’s requirement and can provide our candidates with a fully supportive, well communicated and personal experience.

We are confident that our combination of longterm experience and track record in the Development and Real Estate space, low volume of roles, extensive networks and tailored candidate selection ensures that clients receive the very best service and approach to their hiring needs.
