Building Surveyor – Residential Estate Management – Thames Valley portfolio
We are working with a leading residential estate management business who have a portfolio of over 100,000 homes across the UK. They are looking for a Building Surveyor to join their business in a fully flexible home based role to manage our clients Thames Valley portfolio.
Remuneration:
£40,000 - £50,000 + Benefits.
Home based role (1-2 days office per month)
The Role:
The Building Surveyor will join the London team in a fully flexible role (predominantly home based) and will oversee the Thames Valley residential portfolio. This is a project biased role managing multiple large block internal and external planned maintenance and communal part refurbishment projects valued between £5,000 and circa £200,000 with a total management budget of circa £1 million. In addition, the role will cover professional building surveying work including reinstatement cost assessments, building pathology, defect diagnosis and putting together the 10-year planned preventative maintenance (PPM) plans.
The successful building surveyor will be joining a dynamic growing group of businesses, and the role would suit a surveyor who has experience in residential refurbishment projects and potentially has worked within local authority or housing associations.
Requirements:
BSc in Building Surveying
Experience in residential surveying and JCT contract administration of refurbishment and redecoration projects valued between £50k and c£300k.
Experience in building pathology, defect diagnosis, reinstatement cost assessments and PPM’s.
Good stakeholder management, communication and report writing skills.
Experience in fire / building safety, cladding reinstatement and AutoCAD would be advantageous.
