Falmouth Fairfax is collaborating with a successful high-end residential investment, development, and management firm in central London, known for redeveloping projects in London and across Europe. They are looking for a Finance Manager to join their team in London.
The role
In this position, you will take charge of the finance department, handling accounting and monthly reporting for property management and development projects. This role is perfect for a proactive individual who can dive into strategic planning while ensuring seamless administrative and financial operations. It’s a part-time opportunity, requiring you to be in the office 3-4 days a week.
Remuneration:
£70,000 - £80,000
Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively with the Property Management team and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders, prioritising customers, clients, and investors.
- Own and manage the business Excel model, overseeing cash flow forecasting and issuing weekly invoices while maintaining banking relationships and conducting weekly payment runs.
- Prepare high-quality management information, Board reports, and quarterly reports that include results, budgets, and forecasts, alongside developing the annual budget and three-year business plan.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and investor requirements by preparing and filing annual statutory accounts, handling all Companies House filings, and cooperating with external tax advisors for Corporation Tax compliance.
- Oversee accounts receivable and payable processes, manage accounting software, support team queries, and handle KYC and AML matters.
- Support the Development team with project-related accounting, manage development entity accounting when applicable, calculate fees for each project, and oversee and maintain CAPEX models for all projects.
- Look for continuous improvement opportunities in projects and demonstrate initiative and a self-starter attitude.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- 5 to 8 years of post-qualification experience
- Strong skills in year-end audits and financial statement preparation (Local GAAP/IFRS)
- Good understanding of VAT/TAX/CIS regulations
- proven ability in process improvement and adaptability
- Advanced proficiency in Xero
- Fluency in English is essential
